Theres been quite a bit of writing on my blog lately, so it is absolutely time for some pictures. Here is a tutorial on using blur on your pictures.
The first image is a picture of the whole page page. The next two have included captions to help you figure out what I’m showing you.
The final image is the completed two page spread with the red being the areas that will be cut off, and also the center binding.

I’m not at all any good at understanding instructions … does this mean you put the original (unblurred) on top of a blurred photo? What does that do? I only see a non-blurred photo in the end
What type of software are you using for manipulation? I have Photoshop Elements (and have no idea how to do anything on it) but this looks entirely different.
Your final result is really lovely.

Hi Diane,
Yes I am putting the original photo on top of the larger blurred photo. If you’ll notice on the final picture there is a frame, which is around the original picture, but the picture continues beyond the frame. That continuation is the blurred photo.
What this does is create an effect that when printed will almost look like the picture curves into the page. It is really quite neat.
I am using the publishing system within Heritage Makers. I love photography so often use photoshop for my photos but then upload them into my Heritage Makers account to publish in my personal storybooks, and for additional storage.
You are welcome to go to my website, http://www.youruniquestory.com and play around. The accounts are free. To have access to the scrapbooking backgrounds and embellishments it is an additional 20/month, but it is the same publishing system, and you can still make beautiful things.
I’m glad you liked the end result on this, thank you.
