First thing, go to my website www.YourUniqueStory.com and create a free account.
You have now
created your account and are ready to start your new
project!
There
will be a choice to choose basic or premier. You can make beautiful
projects either way. The premier comes with over 36,000 pieces of art,
and the basic is around 1,600.
Here is an example:
· You should see your Heritage Studio page where you can begin your
projects. I recommend that you view
the studio tutorial immediately as it will introduce you to the studio and how
to use it.
· You will find all of our online tutorials by clicking on the
“Online Classes” icon in your storybook center located here in your
studio.
Also, make sure to visit the Template Gallery
from the website. You will be amazed at the beautiful designed
templates available. Also keep in mind, EVERY template can be adjusted
to fit your needs. I personally look for great layouts because I know
I can adjust the colors to fit me.
I
also teach online classes through our computers. Collect some of your
friends and I will teach you all how to do this. Heritage Makers
*spoils* their hosts, and you can get your credits for free! It is the
very best way to go…
Feel free to email me with any questions. You are going to LOVE this!
Happy Storybooking!

I had the opportunity to read a book about Family Folktales by Karen
Pierce Gonzalez, and came away inspired to write more of my family
folktales. These are not the life histories, or the fact filled
stories, these are the real stories. Sometimes embellished, these are
OUR stories from our past and our present.
Karen explains it this way from her website:
No matter the culture, religion, or political system,
I
came away inspired to write more of my family stories, and to do more
than I already am. Whenever I read a book such as this, I look for the
practical application. The action.
For a time, I have wanted
to write stories of my Grandma. Not her history, but how she has
affected me, and fun memories I have of her. First thing, I wrote down
in my notebook 10 different stories I wanted to tell. Then I just
started writing. In 15 minutes I had written a story about one time
when my Grandma came sledding with us when I was 6 or 7. I'll put that
story on here one day soon. In the meantime, go visit Family Folktales and start writing some of yours.

Click on the image to read the entire article about Heritage Makers and the inspiring direct sales business it is. "Storybooking combines the best of scrapbooking with the convenience and ease of technology. The company boasts virtually no inventory, focusing on using [over 30,000 pieces of] digital art." Says Heritage Makers president Doug Cloward in this article.

A while back I bought four small photo albums with the idea of taking
the 'best' of the photos I've scanned and putting them in these albums
for the kids to look through. Well, these albums were still in my
closet because believe it or not…they never made it very high on my
priority list.
I pulled these four albums out of the closet yesterday for each of my
kids, and for a fun activity they went through the bins of photos and
chose the ones they wanted for their album. I thought about how this was something I would never let my kids do had our photos not already been securely scanned, but because they were scanned my children ages 3-7 were able to have an memorable experience enjoying the family photos.
It is so important to scan those photos for many more reasons than one. Here is the link to more scanning information on our website. At Heritage Makers, we offer in home scanning nationwide and in Canada. I would be happy to guide you to someone in your area.

There has been so much going on the past few weeks since I posted last. I just love this business and especially the people I meet along the way.
Here is the back cover of my Costa Rica book. It reads, "All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware." I feel the same way about my Heritage Makers journey. I had no idea when I began of the people I would meet or the stories I would hear. Thank you for being part of my journey.
